Bucks County Designer House & Gardens

The end of April can mean only one thing – It’s time for the 2019 Bucks County Designer House & Gardens. Here is a little about this year’s house…

Appropriately named for peppermint, the main crop that was grown on the property, this 30-acre farmstead includes a c. 1860 six-bedroom farmhouse, a two-car garage with a workshop, the base of a bank barn, a milk house, a studio, and storage shed. This farmhouse features unique built-ins, deeply curved window sills, exposed beams, random width wood floors, stone floors, and two covered porches.

This year we are again honored to participate in the designer house. You will see Oskar Huber furnishings and accessories in three rooms of the house. Look for another blog in a few weeks with more pictures of the rooms but for now we will just tease you:)

We at Oskar Huber are always proud to support Doylestown Hospital’s renovations and expansion. Proceeds from this year’s 2019 Bucks County Designer House will combine with other philanthropic investments through the One Vision campaign to fund a wide range of transformative initiatives and priorities that include the capital construction projects currently underway. The phased renovations to existing structures and construction of new facilities will advance Doylestown Health’s holistic model of care, improving the health of individuals and our community at every stage of life.

Tours are happening April 28th – May 26th 2019. To fully enjoy the Bucks County Designer House & Gardens, please allow at least two hours to tour the houses and gardens. It’s encouraged to wear comfortable footwear without spiked heels. Each visitor will receive a bound, color guide containing maps of the houses and gardens as well as information about each design company. You are encouraged to follow the tour in the order given in the book so that you don’t miss any of the spectacular work these designers have provided.

There is a display board in each area showing ‘before’ photos so you can see the transformation. Many of the items displayed in the rooms and gardens are available for sale with a portion of proceeds benefiting the charity.
